UNC Asheville Board of Trustees to Meet in March

Two UNC Asheville Board of Trustees committee meetings and a meeting of the full board are set for March.

The Finance and Real Property Committee will meet from 1:30-3 p.m. Tuesday, March 16. The Development Committee will meet from 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 18. Both committee meetings will take place in UNC Asheville's Highsmith University Union, room 221.

UNC Asheville's Board of Trustees is scheduled to meet from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, March 26, in UNC Asheville's Laurel Forum, Karpen Hall. The board will break from noon-2 p.m. for lunch. The meeting will include reports by the chancellor as well as a number of committees, including Academic Affairs, Finance and Real Property, Development, Student Affairs, Audit and Athletics.

These meetings are open to the public. Portions of the meeting may be closed to the public under provisions of the North Carolina Open Meetings Act.

The UNC Asheville Board of Trustees has 13 members; eight are appointed by the UNC Board of Governors and four are appointed by the governor. The UNC Asheville Student Government Association president, who is elected by the student body, also sits on the board.
