UNC Asheville Offers LSAT and GRE Prep Class

Registration is now open for a Law School Admission Test (LSAT) and Graduate Record Examination (GRE) prep classes offered by UNC Asheville's Professional Education Program. Classes will meet on UNC Asheville's campus.

The LSAT prep course will meet for six consecutive weeks from 6-8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays from April 21-May 26. The course is designed to prepare students for the various types of analytical reasoning, logical reasoning, reading comprehension and writing questions present on the LSAT, a standardized multiple choice exam required by all 196 LSAC law schools. Cost for the course is $450, which includes textbooks, practice tests and a practice disk. Registration deadline is April 13; late sign-up will result in a $15 fee. The course will be offered again in August and October.

The GRE Prep course will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-9 p.m. for four consecutive weeks from March 23-April 15. The course is designed to increase familiarity with the various types of verbal, quantitative and analytical questions presented on the GRE computer-generated general test, required by most graduate programs for admission. Students will also learn test-taking strategies and work with test-simulation exercises. Cost for the course is $375, which includes study materials and a practice CD. Registration deadline is March 15; late sign-up will result in an additional $15 fee. The course will be offered again five more times throughout the year.
