UNC Asheville senior holds art exhibit

"Neither here nor there," an exhibition of paintings, drawing transfers and a sound installation by UNC Asheville senior Giedre Krulikas, will be on view from November 12-23 in UNC Asheville's S. Tucker Cooke Gallery, located on the main floor of Owen Hall. An opening reception will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, in the gallery. The exhibition explores the absurdity found in the distortion of cultural identity as experienced through syncretism, biculturalism and the intergenerational imparting of knowledge, and is a culmination of Krulikas' work toward a bachelor of fine arts degree at UNC Asheville. The events are free and open to the public.
