UNC Asheville Holds Student Ceramic Exhibition

"Figurative Reflections," an exhibition by UNC Asheville senior Katie Scully of approximately 100 wood-fired ceramic pots inspired by the human form, will be on view in the Highsmith University Union Gallery from December 3-16. An opening reception will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3, in the gallery. The exhibition will include both functional and sculptural vessels crafted to enhance the suggestion of the human figure within their forms. The show is a culmination of Scully's work towards a bachelor of fine arts degree at UNC Asheville.

The gallery is located on the lower level of UNC Asheville's Highsmith University Union. The gallery is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. For more information, call 828.251.6991.
