Author of Exposé on Lehman Brothers to Speak at UNC Asheville

Lawrence G. McDonald, former Vice President of Distressed Debt and Convertible Securities at Lehman Brothers will speak at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 27, at UNC Asheville’s Humanities Lecture Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

McDonald will discuss his recent book, "A Colossal Failure of Common Sense: The Inside Story of the Collapse of Lehman Brothers,” chronicling Lehman’s infamous demise. The exposé examines his viewpoint that the actions of a mere handful of people precipitated the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression.

At the conclusion of his lecture, McDonald will sign copies of his book. McDonald’s appearance is sponsored by Jamison Financial Group LLC, UNC Asheville’s Office of the Chancellor, Office of the Provost/Academic Affairs, and Office of Cultural and Special Academic Programs.
