UNC Asheville to Host Panel Discussion on Nonprofit Careers

UNC Asheville’s Career Center will host a panel discussion on nonprofit careers at 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at UNC Asheville’s Highsmith University Union, Mountain Suites. The panel of local experts will address nonprofit opportunities and provide a chance for students to gain professional advice. The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.
Panelists include three UNC Asheville alumnae: Holly Beveridge, UNC Asheville’s assistant director or Cultural Events and Special Academic Programs; Julie Klipp Nicholson, attorney at law for Pisgah Legal Services; and Hanna Woody, after school and summer program coordinator for Asheville City Schools Foundation. Other panelists include Melissa LeRoy, executive director of Foothills Equestrian Nature Center; and Matt Siegel, green building director for Western North Carolina Green Building Council.
Moderators are Joseph Berryhill, UNC Asheville’s Key Center Professor and associate professor of psychology; and Amanda Edwards, executive director of the Literacy Council of Buncombe County.
