NC State Engineering
Programs at UNCA

North Carolina State University (NCSU or NC State), College of Engineering, located in Raleigh, is the largest engineering university in North Carolina.   The NC State College of Engineering maintains an office on the University of North Carolina at Asheville (UNCA) campus.   The office manages and facilitates several opportunities for engineering education in Western North Carolina.

At the UNDERGRADUATE level:

• The Mechatronics Program
  The JOINT Bachelor of Science in Engineering (JEM) Degree - Mechatronics Concentration
  Students remain on the UNCA campus for the entire degree and follow a curriculum which focuses on the exciting area of Mechatronics. The curriculum combines the best of both worlds - the engineering expertise of NC State and the liberal arts environment and curriculum of UNCA.
  
• The Two-Plus-Two Program (2+2)
  Students begin at UNCA and transfer to NC State University after two years to complete a B.S. engineering degree in one of 14 fields.
