Cleve Mathews
Mathews teaches courses
at the College for Seniors about the news media’s role in
shaping our views of the world. Each course is usually pegged
to current news developments, such as the war on terrorism,
threats to free speech, or presidential scandals. As the
co-author of a textbook on media ethics, Mathews critiques
questionable practices by the media in covering these topics.
His courses offer ample room for discussion.
