Garden Ready for Spring?
Linda Blue, Cooperative Extension agent and urban
horticulturist, will give tips on the care of home lawns,
landscape plantings, fruit and vegetable gardens and shade
trees. She will answer your questions on diagnosing plant
disease, insect problems and other gardening dilemmas.

What’s Ahead for UNC Asheville?
Anne Ponder, our new chancellor, will share her impressions of
the university and the community after her first six months and
give us glimpses of her vision for the future.

Author Thomas Rain Crowe will read from his recent book,
Zoro’s Field: My Life in the Appalachian Woods about his
return to live alone for four years deep in his native southern
Appalachian woods. A Walden for today, the book reveals
the wisdom one gains only through the pursuit of a consciously
simple, spiritual, environmentally responsible life. He will
answer your questions.
