In Search of
God: From History to Metaphor
Special Lecture
by Walter Ziffer
This special
lecture is jointly sponsored by the North Carolina Center for
Creative Retirement and the Center for Jewish Studies at UNC
Asheville which is celebrating its 25th year. You
will want to hear this provocative talk by author and lecturer,
Walter Ziffer, who has given several standing-room-only talks at
the Reuter Center. Dr. Ziffer, author of The Teaching of
Disdain: An Examination of Christology and New Testament
Attitudes Toward Jews, is currently adjunct professor in
philosophy and religion at Mars Hill College. He has also taught
at UNC Asheville, University of Maine, and at theological
seminaries in France, Belgium and Washington. DC.

Symphony Talk
with Daniel Meyer
The best way to
enjoy the Asheville Symphony Orchestra’s masterworks concerts is
to come to the Symphony Talks for the inside scoop on the music,
composers and soloists. Music director and conductor Daniel
Meyer will speak about Spring Training which features
Danielpour’s Pastime with baritone, Gregg Baker,
Respighi’s Trittico Botticelliano, and Sibelius’s
Symphony No. 2.

Jazz at Reuter
Center
The North Carolina
Center for Creative Retirement has teamed up with the Jazz
Composers Forum to bring an outstanding jazz series to the
Reuter Center. Each session features different musicians and
jazz styles. The $20 tickets, which includes the music as well
as coffee and dessert, are available at the reception desk in
room 208 or at the door. Don’t miss The January Band
and the Sam Macy Band on March 27.

Twenties Party
Celebrate the
Center’s 20th anniversary with a twenties costume
