Support Team Network

Coordinated by the NCCCR Community Outreach Committee and The Support Team Network of WNC

Currently twelve members of the Center have been trained to provide practical or emotional support to individuals and families with health concerns or other special needs.

Our first priority is to provide any assistance that might be needed by members of the Center.  Perhaps someone has had surgery and could use meals, errands or phone calIs, or someone needs help in a role as caregiver, etc.  We would appreciate hearing from you if you have any suggestions about members with needs - call 251-6140.

PERHAPS YOU'D LIKE TO JOIN A NCCCR SUPPORT TEAM. You get to help others, simply doing only what you enjoy doing and only when you are able to do it - but in an organized way with a built-in support system.

FREE TRAINING will be given by members of the Support Team Network of WNC.
Trainers will be Lynn Pace, CarePartners Mountain Area Hospice and Kate Zurich, Council on Aging of Buncombe County.

Contact Peggy Tobin (299-1910) tobinj@bellsouth.net, for more information or to sign up for a three hour orientation meeting. Discover if this is something you'd like to do.
