EXPLORING THE ARTIST WITHIN
Gaetana Friedman
Workshop
Fall 2004
This 6 week workshop, Exploring The Artist Within, focuses
on exploring one’s creative process using the medium of
tempera painting within a supportive environment. No
previous painting experience is necessary. We will use rich
colors of quality tempera paint (non-toxic and water-based),
large white paper and various sized brushes*. If you’ve
always wanted to ‘try’ painting, or wish to explore an
intuitive approach to the arts using a paint media, this
class is for you. The first 3 sessions start off with a film
on ‘process painting’. From session 4 on, each class
emphasizes a basic element: Color, Line/Form, and finally
Images.
* Instructor will supply materials. $10.00 materials fee
collected at first class.
Before the first class the instructor will e-mail students a
list of items to bring to class: e.g. smock/apron, plastic
sheet, writing tablet or journal.
