The B.A. in music with an emphasis in Jazz Studies was established in 1994 for students wishing to pursue careers as jazz performers, composers and arrangers.

- All majors are required to pass Senior Comprehensive Examinations in Music Theory & Music History and perform a senior recital. Internships of up to 6 hours credit are available to qualified students.
- A minimum of 120 credits is required for the Bachelor of Arts in Music (Jazz Studies).
