Housing and Supervision
Camp participants, except day campers, will be housed in air-conditioned
Founder's Hall on the UNC Asheville campus. Campers must bring their own
sheets and towels from home. A pillow and blanket will be supplied. All
dormitory rooms are double-occupancy. Unless you notify the Office of
Academic Conferences and Institutes, camp administrators will pair each
student who does not come with a roommate with someone close to their
age. Housing accommodation is not available after the end of the program
on Friday. Check-out from the dormitory is Friday after breakfast. Meals
provided begin with dinner on Sunday and end with lunch on Friday -- 15
meals in all. All meals will be served in the University Dining Hall,
located adjacent to the dormitory. The dining service offers a
cafeteria-style menu with a wide variety of healthy food choices. There
is a campus convenience store located in the new Highsmith University
Union in the event that students wish to purchase snacks or sundries
during their free time. Please refer to the Campus Map for directions to
the entrance of the University and follow the directional signs to the
Founder's Hall
While staying in the Founder's dormitory, all camp students will be
under the careful supervision of UNC Asheville staff.
