The University of North Carolina at Asheville is pleased to host the Western North Carolina Summer Music Camp.  It is a great learning opportunity for middle and high school students. The Western North Carolina Music Camp affords students the opportunity to learn under music faculty from UNC Asheville, regional public schools and from across the southeast.

The beautifully landscaped campus of UNC Asheville is the perfect setting for a week of music study, practice, rehearsal, and performance. Many of the mountain region's top conductors, teachers, and performers will serve on the faculty, and our administrative staff and camp counselors will supervise a number of enjoyable co-curricular opportunities, including evening films and activities at the athletic center. Family members and friends of the student musicians are welcome to attend a Friday afternoon capstone concert in Lipinsky Auditorium.

Participation in the camp is on a first-come, first served basis. We encourage you to register early in order to guarantee a space in the program. Students may register as day campers, but we encourage you to consider the residential experience. Residential students will be housed in Founder's Hall on the UNC Asheville campus.  Our camp counselors and administrative staff will supervise students throughout the week.

In conjunction with the WNC Summer Music Camp we are happy to announce the addition of the UNCA Double Reed Camp for students who play double reed instruments.  Not only will they learn to enhance their playing skills and to make their own reeds, but they will also be part of the concert band.
