2007 Music Camp

The Music Department at UNCA, in cooperation with music faculty from Middle and High Schools across Western North Carolina, will take registrations for the third annual Western North Carolina Summer Music Camp beginning in February 2008.  We are happy for the addition of stringed instruments, and we welcome students of double reed instruments to the UNCA Double Reed Camp being held in conjunction with the WNC Summer Music Camp. This years camp will include:

• Concert Bands

• String Orchestra

• Jazz Band

• Ensembles (Brass, String & Jazz)

• Jazz Improvisation

• Master Classes

• Conducting

• Music Theory

• Private and Piano Lessons (By request only)

WNC Summer Music Camp is a high quality, affordable, and residential music camp located on the lovely campus of UNC Asheville. We also encourage commuter students who live nearby to come study under some of the region’s leading teachers, performers, composers and conductors. Enjoy a variety of organized and supervised co-curricular opportunities.
