Reed Roig received a B.B.A. in Accounting from Kent State University
(1977); an M.B.A. from Cleveland State University (1999); and a
Ph.D. in Accounting from Case Western Reserve University (2008).
Dr. Roig was inducted into Beta Alpha Psi, Beta Gamma Sigma, Omicron
Delta Kappa and Mortar Board as an undergraduate and was an
AAA/Deloitte/J. Michael Cook Doctoral Consortium Fellow in 2004.
Prior to seeking his Ph.D., he worked as an auditor for Arthur
Andersen & Co., held positions in internal audit and management with
The Sherwin-Williams Company, was controller of several privately
held companies, and was a professional staff person with Jefferson
Wells International (a business consulting firm). He is a CPA,
licensed in the State of Ohio. Dr. Roig has published in peer
reviewed journals. His research interests include internal capital
markets, segment reporting, and the effect of accounting on
management decision-making. He is a member of the American
Accounting Association, the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants, and the Institute of Management Accountants. He has
taught courses in Management Accounting, Cost Accounting, Accounting
Information Systems, Intermediate Accounting and Advanced
Accounting.
