Michelle Rippon, B.A. English and B.Ed. from Dalhousie University,
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada; M.A. English from North Carolina State
University, Raleigh, NC. Following a ten year teaching career, she
obtained her J.D. from North Carolina Central University in Durham,
NC. and worked with the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the
North Carolina Supreme Court as a Research Assistant and Director of
Research and as the Executive Director of the Governor’s Crime
Commission before joining the Van Winkle Law Firm in Asheville, NC,
where she is now a Senior Partner. With Walter E. Meyers, she
authored Combining Sentences, a writing handbook for college
freshmen (Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, 1979). She has also authored
numerous profiles of state and federal court judges for the North
Carolina State Bar Quarterly. She teaches Management 300, Legal and
Ethical Environment. |
