B.S. Economics and Business Management, Center College of
Kentucky, M.B.A. University of Tennessee with a concentration in
Health Care Management, Ph.D. in Business Administration at the
University of Kentucky. Dr. Huffman has published in peer reviewed
professional journals and proceedings in areas directly related to
course objectives. She is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma
honorary society and received the Graduate Student Development Award
in 1998 as well as the Research Challenge Trust Fund II Gatton
Doctoral Fellowship in 2000. Before coming to UNCA, Dr. Huffman
founded and co-owned a medical management and billing corporation.
She teaches courses in Strategic Management, Principles of
Management, Management Senior Seminar, and Entrepreneurship.
Research interests include. Management of Service Industries, Health
Care Management, Innovation and Corporate Entrepreneurship
