AACSB ACCREDITATION:
The Highest Distinction in Business Education

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business

UNCA's Department of Management and Accountancy has received accreditation of its Business Programs from the AACSB International - Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. UNC Asheville joins 480 U.S. colleges and universities that have met this standard of excellence, the highest achievement for business education.

This important credential reaffirms the high quality of UNC Asheville's department and it underscores the university's commitment to excellence. The AACSB's stringent accreditation criteria gave high ratings to the university's curriculum, degree requirements, student resources, technology, faculty performance, testing mechanisms, and the mission and objectives set forth by the department.

The AACSB's accreditation praised UNC Asheville's liberal arts mission, which is characterized by a unique interdisciplinary approach to undergraduate education and commitment to lifelong learning. The accreditation was granted "without conditions," an uncommon circumstance and point of pride for UNC Asheville.
