Welcome to the UNC-Asheville
Department of Literature & Language

As you will discover here, our diverse faculty offers a wide curriculum which includes the literature of the Americas and Europe, creative writing, and special studies in world literatures, rhetoric, and literary theory. Students are able to receive a broad-based liberal arts education while preparing for a career through one of the department's three degree programs: literature, creative writing, or teaching English.
