Position TITLE: TRIP LOGISTICS AND TRAINING SUPERVISOR
Starting Pay Rate: $6.50
Position Description: Part-time (No more than 10 hours per week) with responsibilities in assisting the Program Coordinator with Trip Operations, Trip Staff Training, and Trip Staff Supervision.
General Responsibilities:

Enforces Rules and Regulations of UNCA OUTDOORS among Desk Staff and Trip Leaders.

Assist with teaching other trip staff the proper way to organize and plan for scheduled trips.

Disperse information regarding UNCA adventure trips with all UNCA Outdoors staff.

Communicate well in advance to Equipment Supervisor all needed supplies for trips and clinics

Generates statistics regarding trip participation, and reports those statistics to the Assistant Director.

Creates and Implements a comprehensive marketing plan for the trip program, to included special events.

Scheduling Cycle Shop staff meetings.
Specific Responsibilities
Weekly
- Enforce rules and policies of Equipment Check Out and Use among Trip Staff
- Make sure that the med kits are fully stocked prior to each trip departing
- Assist the Trip Leaders with anything they may need for their Trip
- Make sure trip equipment coming back from trips is in good condition, and notify equipment supervisor of necessary repairs.
- Ensure that all trips have at least the minimum number of participants, keeping the head trip leader informed of sign up progress, and assist trip leaders in recruiting more participants when necessary.
- Meet bi-weekly with Assistant Director and keep them updated of all trip related happenings.
Monthly
- Complete the Monthly Supervisor Report
- Meet with all Program Supervisor, and share contents of Supervisors Report
- Create and see that all trips during the upcoming month have a comprehensive marketing plan, and that this plan is being implemented. As well as keeping the Program coordinator informed of the different aspects of each trips plans.
- Make additions where necessary to the Trip Leader Manual, to ensure that all policies and procedures are kept up to date.
- Make a list of any repair items that we may need to purchase.
Semester
- Assist Program Coordinator with Trip Schedule and Trip Leader Assignment to Trips
- Organize and Schedule at least one Trip Staff Social Gathering During the Semester
Yearly
- Hold a PRE-TRIP MEETING training for the first year Trip Leaders.
- Responsible for teaching the first year Trip Leaders the basic camping skills as defined by the Trip Leader Manual.
