Arts The UNCA Arts requirement features courses in which students become intellectually engaged with the arts. They consider the significance and communicative functions of the arts in human experience, the cultural context of creative composition and performance, the foundations of aesthetic values. This requirement may be fulfilled in one of four ways: 1. Arts 310, Arts and Ideas 2. One course from ARTS courses paired with its corresponding HUM core course. These are: ARTS 322, Arts of the Western World (with HUM124), ARTS 323, Arts of the Medieval and Renaissance World (with HUM 214), and ARTS 324, Arts of the Modern World (with HUM 324). 3. A three-hour course designated as an ILSA course taken as a component of a Topical Cluster. 4. Three credit hours of studio/workshop courses designated as ILSA.
