A seven-story residence hall, Founders Hall houses 300 students. 

1. Two rooms (4 people) share an adjoining bathroom.  Cleaning the bathrooms is the responsibility of the students, not the housekeeping staff.

2. The University provides beige blinds in each room.  If you wish to put up curtains, you must use a spring rod.  We suggest you wait until you arrive to make any large purchases of decorating items.

3. Small nails or tacks will be allowed on the walls.  Poster tape is permissible.  On one wall of the room there is a large bulletin board with two shelves.  Pins and tacks may be used on the bulletin boards.

Governors Hall Amenities (go to top of page)

Governors Hall houses 187 students in single and double rooms arranged in suites.  Contemporary furnishings were selected with student input.  Note: Suite arrangements may vary depending on assignment.  Amenities include:

1. Four to five students share a suite.  Suites are composed of varying configurations of double and single rooms.  Residents of the suite share a bathroom.

2. The University provides beige blinds in each room.  If you wish to put up curtains, you must use a spring rod.  We suggest you wait until you arrive to make any large purchases of decorating items.

3. Small nails or tacks will be allowed on the walls.  Poster tape is permissible.  Pins and tacks may be used on the bulletin boards.

Governors Village Amenities (go to top of page)

These small halls, named for former governors of North Carolina, offer single rooms for 103 students.  There are five single rooms on each hall, and residents share two common bathrooms.  The halls are:  Ashe (female), Hoey (female), Moore (male), and Scott (male).  Amenities include:

1. Two or three people on a hall share a bathroom, and it will be your responsibility to keep the bathroom clean.

2. The University provides beige blinds in each room.  If you wish to put up curtains, you must use a spring rod.  We suggest you wait until you arrive to make any large purchases of decorating items.

3. No nails or tacks will be allowed in the walls or ceilings.  Poster tape is permissible.

Mills Hall Amenities (go to top of page)

Mills Hall houses 296 students in carpeted suites comprising two bedrooms, a bath and den.  Mills Hall was recently renovated (Summer, 2007).  Click here to see all the renovations we made. Amenities include:

1. A Suite is composed of two bedrooms (4 persons), a den, and a bathroom.  It will be your responsibility to keep the bathroom clean.

2. Mills Hall suites have one upholstered couch, one upholstered chair, and a side table in the den area. The University provides beige blinds in each room.  If you wish to put up curtains, you must use a spring rod.  We suggest you wait until you arrive to make any large purchases of decorating items.

3. No nails or tacks will be allowed in the walls or ceilings.  Poster tape is permissible.

Both South Ridge and West Ridge are situated in a wooded area near the Botanical Gardens at Asheville.  South Ridge houses 112 students in double rooms.  Both halls are identical and face a landscaped courtyard.  Amenities include:
