OneCard Policies Related to Card Access of Residence Halls Lost Cards and Cancellation of Cards If a OneCard is lost during normal business hours, it should be deactivated immediately in the OneCard office at 120 Highsmith University Union. If the card is lost or stolen outside of normal business hours or on weekends the student can go to Campus Police in Vance Hall to obtain a OneCard temporary pass for access to the Dining Hall and/or a temporary access card for access to residence halls. Temporary Passes/Temporary Access Cards If a OneCard is misplaced, lost, or stolen outside of normal business hours a OneCard temporary pass and a temporary access card can be obtained at the Campus Police Office in Vance Hall. The pass will allow access to the Dining Hall and when the individual who has lost their card is a residential student, the temporary access card will provide access to the residence halls until a replacement card can be issued. It will be valid ONLY from the date issued after 5:00 p.m. until noon on the next working day when OneCard Office is open. *Issuance of temporary passes and temporary access cards do not cancel or deactivate the original OneCard or any financial responsibility tied to that card. Replacement cards Replacement cards can be picked up at the OneCard Office at 120 Highsmith University Union between 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. Temporary access cards will be turned in to the OneCard Office at this time as well. For the protection of the individual and the University community it is important that the OneCard Office is contacted on the next business day after a card has been misplaced, lost, or stolen to deactivate the old card and print a new card. There is a $25 charge for replacement cards, including lost, stolen, or damaged cards. The replacement card charge of $25 must be paid to the OneCard Office by cash or check before a new card will be issued. Individuals are responsible for all financial activity generated by the use of the card until it is deactivated at the OneCard Office. To keep personal information (and access to rooms, residence halls, or apartments) secure, my OneCards should not be attached to key rings using ID card holders or other means.
