UPDATES TO HIGHSMITH UNION

- COMMUTER LOUNGE! In order to better address the needs of our commuter student population, the Highsmith Union has created a lounge on the 3rd floor, the Pinnacle, which has a flat-screen TV, a microwave, sink, couches, computers with internet access and a study table. The student LOCKERS are there currently, and commuters are welcome to use those on a daily basis.

- S.O.A.P. - the School Of Athens Project. This mural of the classical painting, coordinated by former Art Department Chair and professor, Tucker Cooke, was completed in December. It was unveilled in 2 ceremonies, honoring the career of Tucker Cooke and his contribution to the UNCA experience. Click HERE for more information.

- Student Organizations (HU 236) - new computers and a new layout have created a great open enviroment where students can come and relax, meet with your group, or meet with other groups. Several organizations have offices there, so meeting and interacting is easy and fun! Walls have been painted to make the space even MORE inviting!

- Mountain Suites acoustic improvements have been completed! If you were bothered by the echoing of the Mountain Suites (HU 221-224) we have completed some work in there that helps tremendously. You can now have meetings in any one room, or ALL rooms, and hear what is being said at all times.
