Alumni Annual Giving

You attended UNC Asheville, so you deeply understand the difference it made in your life. The days spent here learning, developing critical thinking skills, and making friends were invaluable. Perhaps you learned something in a class or on a special trip or in an internship that changed your life.
You can express your gratitude for these times with an investment in the Chancellor’s Excellence Fund. This unrestricted fund helps students quickly. Your gifts purchase modern labs, defray travel and equipment expenses for student research projects, and support the Intercultural Center and Honors Program, to name a few.
Young Alumni Philanthropists (YAP)
If you graduated in the last decade, consider membership in our new giving society called YAP (Young Alumni Philanthropists). Although you may not realize it, you received the benefit of donors’ generosity during your time here, whether it was new lab equipment or funds that supported a research project. This is your opportunity to give back. This club includes recent graduates who help support students attending the University now. YAP is named after our mascot, a bulldog named Rocky I.
Many gifts from members in this society go the Chancellor’s Excellence Fund, an unrestricted pool of funds for areas of greatest need. Or you may designate your gift to any program or department.
Graduates from the past decade make up 39 percent of UNC Asheville’s living alumni; if all of you made a gift of just $25 we would raise almost $150,000 annually to provide scholarships, equipment, and improve our campus infrastructure. Your gift of any amount makes a difference in the life of a student, and inspires others to give.
