Giving Societies

Recognizing that there are many different types of philanthropic support, UNC Asheville has several different giving societies.  We welcome you into the society that best meets your giving priorities.

Summit Society

Recognizes consecutive year giving to the annual giving campaign which runs from July 1 through June 30.  Gifts to any annual programs count.

YAP (Young Alumni Philanthropists)

Recognizes annual giving at any level by graduates of the last decade.  Members of the Senior Class making gifts are automatically enrolled in this society.  Gifts to any annual programs count.

Bulldog Club

Supports our Division I Athletic program and its outstanding student athletes.  Benefits depend on level of contribution with a minimum level of $100 per year.

The Blue Iris Circle

A new giving group for women alumnae.

The Laurel Society

Honors your planned gifts through UNC Asheville Foundation.  Planned gifts help you share the value of a fine liberal arts education with future generations.  This society also:

  • Provides a vehicle to honor members for their contributions
  • Promotes the benefits of estate and financial planning.
  • Draws attention to the importance of UNC Asheville's future through planned gifts.

The Pisgah Society

Honors those who have established endowments with UNC Asheville Foundation to benefit UNC Asheville.

Chancellors Club

Recognizes donors who give $1,000 in a fiscal year.

Chancellors Cabinet

Recognizes donors who give $5,000 in a fiscal year.
