Cissie Stevens help with BC/BS gift

As a Blue Cross/Blue Shield Foundation of NC board member and an UNC Asheville staff member, Cissie Stevens knows the value of relationships. She knew the healthcare organization wanted to support a wellness program, and UNC Asheville’s N.C. Center for Health and Wellness fit the profile. Cissie made the connections, opening doors that led to a $3 million grant for the Center.

“I arranged a meeting between the two parties and advised UNC Asheville on how to best match their needs with the Foundation’s needs,” said Cissie. “One great thing about this is that I found a way to support something I loved in a greater way than I could afford individually by tapping into my relationships and network.”
