General responsibilities—curricular design; development and facilitation of faculty/staff and student forums; outreach to campus constituencies; public relations; work with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Administrative and Financial Affairs, Institutional Resources, and other offices central to the design effort; draft curriculum design proposal, including charges and rationales for each component.

General responsibilities—research curricula at other institutions; research secondary-source materials on curricular and pedagogical innovations; research possible consultants for general education program as a whole and/or possible program components; consult with and offer direction to the Design Team.

General responsibilities—research resource conditions at UNCA relevant for successful curriculum implementation; research resource conditions and strategies at peer, COPLAC, and other institutions; research possible grant opportunities; research possible administrative structures for future oversight of general education at UNCA; work in coordination with the Office of Institutional Research to coordinate efforts between general education design and other strategic efforts across campus; consult with and offer direction to the Design Team.
