Membership
Membership in the forum is open to a limited number of family-owned businesses. Participation in activities is restricted to members, prospective members and sponsors. Membership selection is based on ability to benefit from and contribute to the learning process. Member firms should have a family member with controlling interest in the business and at least one family member currently employed
in the business. The annual membership fee of $2,000 for 2009-10 covers:
- Participation of up to four representatives of the firm in the programs of the forum
- A quarterly newsletter
- Mailings of current research and writing on family business operations
- Networking with other owners/members of family-owned businesses
- Participation in informal discussions with similarly situated executives who face the unique challenges of perpetuating a family business
