The University of North Carolina at Asheville Faculty Senate
is empowered to act as the legislative body of the faculty. It is composed of eighteen
elected members from the faculty, and the Provost and Vice Chancellor
for Academic Affairs, ex officio non-voting.
The faculty may refer appropriate concerns to the Senate for investigation,
clarification, discussion and debate. Agendas are issued to faculty prior to
each Senate meeting. These meetings are open to all members of the campus community.
