Welcome and thanks so much for checking out UNC Asheville! My name is Sarah Humphries and I am from Charlotte, NC where I graduated from Providence High School. I attended Appalachian State University and double majored in both Creative Writing and Spanish. After graduation, I wanted to see a little bit of the world, so I accepted a teaching position in Spain where I taught English in a secondary school for a year. It was a great experience, but I couldn’t wait to get back to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains!
I chose to move to Asheville for its unique vibe, happy people and (of course) its natural beauty. Many of my friends have attended UNC Asheville and I am constantly impressed by the one on one attention they receive from professors and the countless opportunities for undergraduate research.
I will be attending high schools and college fairs around NC, SC, TN, and FL, so take a look at my schedule to see if I will be near you. Choosing a college can be both exciting and overwhelming, so let me know if I can help you in any way.
