I am a recent graduate of UNC-Asheville. I received my B.A in Sociology in May of 2011. As the newest addition to Admissions, I am very excited to help prospective students discover the reasons why I fell in love with this amazing University. I love that my professors took the time to find out what my goals and interests were, and they remained accessible and supportive. The students and the faculty bring such diverse life experiences and knowledge to class, which really adds to the learning atmosphere here on campus. My favorite part of my undergraduate studies was Undergraduate Research. It was a rigorous intellectual experience that really gave me a chance to showcase all that I had learned as an undergraduate and implement it in my own original research. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my large extended family, and exploring these beautiful mountains with my husband and my dog Carmen.
