     Minimum $500

Environmental Studies Scholarship
     $750 (can only be awarded to students with unmet financial need)

Friends of the Earth Garden Club Scholarship
     $500 (can only be awarded to students with unmet financial need)

Southern Appalachian Mountains Initiative Scholarship
     $2000

Burroughs Wellcome Fund Scholars Program (Juniors & Seniors)
     $6500/year for students interested in pursuing teaching careers

Requirements for all environmental studies scholarships:

1. Declared major in environmental studies
2. Unmet financial need can be determined by the amount of money a student has borrowed (loans) for their education.
3. Sound scholastic record (minimum overall 3.0 GPA)

Additional requirements for the Southern Appalachian Mountains Initiative Scholarship:

1. Permanent resident of NC, SC, GA, VA, WV, AL, TN, or KY
2. Plan an internship or research project related to air quality
