"Wikis are easy-to-use Web pages that
let you collaborate online and share information."

OBJECTIVE
Create a basic PBwiki for use with an
online discussion group.
INSTRUCTION
This module is intended to be used as a
reminder to participants that have been exposed to this
content in a face-to-face mini-workshop.
Read through these instruction
BEFORE following them step by step. Ask questions
before doing anything you feel uncomfortable about. (i.e.:
Giving your password out to the world to your entire
site.)
A more exhaustive treatment of how to
setup/maintain PBwiki is covered on the
http://pbwiki.com/ site.

(read page instructions for naming details)
May consider naming the site for the discussion group or
class. (i.e.: 2007_WSSU_UNCA_forum or UNCA_EDUC311)

Select Create My
Wiki button
The example above attempts to
create a PBwiki with the address:
An activation confirmation
message is simultaneously sent to the email
address supplied. The site is not activated
until the confirmation message is acted on.

If others are to
be allowed to comment on your wiki they will need to be
supplied this same password. Use a "throw-away" password.

Select Educational for
"What's this wiki for?"

Select "Make my wiki
public"

Select "Agree to our
Terms of Service"

Click Take me to my
wiki! button
