The Burroughs Wellcome Fund Scholars Program is a “fast track” to teacher licensure for science and math majors. In partnership with three UNC institutions, UNC Asheville will provide 120 new math/science teachers to NC public schools in the next three years.

REQUIREMENTS

• Junior or Senior Math or Science major seeking teacher licensure

• Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher

• Recommendation by Science or Math Teacher/Advisor

• Submit application to UNCA BW Fund Scholars Advisory Committee
