An Educational Technology Portfolio is the device used by
the UNCA Department of Education to demonstrate the Student
Teacher has successfully acquired the specific level of
technology
knowledge and skills identified by the state of
North Carolina.
Successful completion of an Educational Technology Portfolio
is required for teaching licensure at the University of
North Carolina Asheville.
The Educational Technology (EdTech) Portfolio will be
reviewed at the end of Phase I of Student Teaching program
by the University Supervisor, Cooperating Teacher and
Coordinator of Educational Technology on a pass/fail basis.
The due date for the completed EdTech Portfolio will be
posted in the
UNCA DOE
Student Teaching Handbook. The
completed EdTech Portfolio is to be turned into the
University Supervisor by the posted due date.
Successful completion of required classes/labs generates
products and artifacts that appear in this portfolio.
Therefore, the EdTech Portfolio is completed by the Student
Teacher concurrent to the fulfillment of normal class/lab
assignments.
The EdTech Portfolio is available for anyone, with access to
the internet, to view. Do not publish classroom observation
notes or any other sensitive material into the EdTech
Portfolio.
