Dr. Robert Tatum Mailbox image.

Assistant Professor of Economics.  Dr. Tatum earned his B.S. in Economics from Centre College and his M.A. and Ph.D in Economics from Indiana University.  His research and teaching interests include macroeconomics, monetary theory, international macroeconomics, economic development, and the economics of Latin America.  His current research projects examine the impact of trade liberalization on the balance of payments.  Before teaching at UNC Asheville, Dr. Tatum taught at Denison University in Granville, Ohio.  In his free time, he enjoys hiking and camping with his wife.
