Learning Management Systems
UNC Asheville has two Learning Management Systems (LMS) available for the campus community.
Our synchronous LMS is Elluminate. This software is a realtime, web conferencing application. Users connected in an Elluminate sessions can talk to each other using voice over IP, share desktop applications, collaborate on projects, share a whiteboard and chat. Our asynchronous LMS is Moodle. This software application provides an online space for course materials, syllibi, assignment dropbox, discussion forum, online testing, online gradebook, and more. With Moodle you have all the tools you need to teach a wholly online course, or supplement your in-class meeting with online materials and activities.
