Getting Started with UNCA Campus
Technology
Information Technology
Services (ITS) is tasked with providing
computing and networking services to the
UNCA’s students, faculty and staff. The
organization reports directly to the
Provost.
Our User Services staff handles end user support to campus
and is the first line of assistance most faculty and staff will
use. The Applications division coordinates the
acquisition and maintenance of central databases, ensures data access security,
provides analytical services to university departments and is in charge of our
central software systems, including web page support.
The Systems and Network
division covers system programming, central computing resources and
the design and maintenance of the campus network.
Distance Learning Services provides
interactive video conferencing and video
streaming, as well as H.323 web resources.
Faculty and staff have a variety of
computing products and services available to
enhance the instructional and support
services of the university. In addition to
technological resources, this site provides
you with useful contact information for
getting in touch with trained UNCA staff
which will be happy to assist with answering
your questions or solving your problems.
Students who are
looking for campus technology help can
select the Students link to the left
for information related to what they will
encounter on campus. Faculty or staff may
select the Faculty/Staff link for
information most related to their work
needs.
We hope you find the information useful and
welcome suggestions to make your orientation
more complete.
Welcome from your ITS
