The Ancient Gardens Club was founded in the fall of 2006 under the aegis of Dr. Rohner and her fall 2006 LSIC on "Ancient Gardens," and is open to all UNC-Asheville students with an interest in ancient gardens, archaeology and/or gardening. The ongoing project of the club is the transformation of the area behind New Hall into an ancient garden, complete with working sundial, herbs, and a small vineyard. Currently students are making mosaics with classical themes to be attached to some of the walls in this area, and are investigating various modern sites of archaeological interest on the UNC-Asheville campus. The current President is Ben Alexander, and interested students should contact him at bsalexan@unca.edu. Ancient Gardens Club prepares for SPRING:
