Established in 1982, the Center for Jewish Studies at UNCA is a part of the
University and a part of the Community. It draws on the resources of both,
provides services and programming for both, and brings the people of the
university and the larger community together intellectually and spiritually.
The governing board is made up of interested persons from the UNCA faculty
and administration and members of the local Jewish community including, as
ex officio members, the rabbis of the Conservative and Reform Congregations.
