Jobs and Internship Information

As the centralized career services resource center for the university, we are able to offer a variety of services to help meet your personnel needs. Serving as a clearinghouse for information on internships and other job opportunities, the UNCA Career Center can work with companies and community organizations to develop and promote opportunities for students.  Please contact us to ask questions or to publicize your opportunities to the campus community.

Have a full-time, part-time or summer job to fill?  We appreciate your consideration of UNCA students and alumni for your positions.  We would be happy to work with you to publicize your opportunities.

Step 1.  Do you have a full-time or part-time job or internship that you would like to post?
Click HERE to download and complete the
OPPORTUNITY POSTING REQUEST FORM

Save the file to your computer and send as an attachment via e-mail to the UNCA Career Center at career@unca.edu. We will post your opportunity on our online career resource center, eRecruiting. If you have questions, please feel free to contact us at 251-6515.

Step 2. Employers MUST notify the Career Center when you fill the position. Contact Christi Bates at career@unca.edu with the information.
This ensures that the posting is removed from our site. In particular, we need to know the name of any UNCA students you have hired.  Posting a position with the UNCA Career Center constitutes an agreement to do so.  Any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Interested in sponsoring an Internship for UNCA students?

Step 1.
Determine if your position qualifies as a structured Internship Opportunity.  Download and Read the Internship Information Sheet.

Internships provide valuable opportunities for students (freshmen through seniors) to test out career options and/or to gain work experience in their chosen field. An internship is defined as any carefully monitored work or service experience in which an individual has intentional learning goals and reflects actively on what he or she is learning throughout the experience.  These learning goals may include Academic Learning, Career Development, Skill Development, and Personal Development.  Academic credit (typically 1-3 hours) may be available for an internship depending on the student's department at UNCA.

Step 2. Complete an Opportunity Posting Request Form and we will post the opportunity on our online career resource center, eRecruiting.  Save the file to your computer and send as an attachment via e-mail to hwaltemyer@unca.edu.

Step 3.  Contact Holly Waltemyer at hwaltemyer@unca.edu when you have filled an internship.  This ensures that the posting is removed from our site. In particular, we need to know the name of any UNCA interns.
