Do I need an appointment?

• In order to speak with a Career Counselor or Career Advisor, you will need to contact the Career Center at 251-6515 to schedule an appointment.  Appointments cannot be made for the same day of the call so please plan ahead.  You may drop-in anytime M-F between 8am-5pm to use Career Library materials.

How can I take the career assessment tests?

• Prior to scheduling any assessments, an appointment with a Career Counselor will be made for you so that we can learn more about your needs.

How much do the assessments cost?

• For all current students at UNC Asheville, there is no charge for the self-assessment tests.  When assessments are recommended, students generally complete both assessments as part of the career exploration process. 

• For alumni of UNC Asheville, the MBTI cost is $5.00 and the Strong Interest Inventory cost is $15.00. 

Can you help me find a job or internship?

• The Career Center is a clearinghouse of information for employment and internship resources.  We post opportunities on our online posting system as well as subscribe to national employment newsletters and internship databases to assist you in your search.  A Career Counselor would be happy to speak with you to help you develop a plan for your job search, develop networking strategies, prepare a resume/cover letter, practice interviewing and more!
