Course Description

Office Hours

This course is designed for students participating in exploratory internships to clarify and/or advance their career goals.  The course will provide a structured/guided learning environment to help students make the most of their internship experience.  Course components will facilitate students’ professional development, focusing on the transition from the role of a student to the role of a professional.  All majors welcome.  Students must arrange an internship placement prior to the start of the course.  Although the Career Center does not provide internship placements, we offer assistance and resources to assist you with that process.  Students are recommended to meet with the Career Center’s Internship Coordinator, Holly Waltemyer prior to enrolling.

Call 251-6515 (main office) or 251-6867 to schedule appointments with
Holly Waltemyer,
Assistant Director/Internship and Employer Relations Coordinator.  You can also reach Holly by email at hwaltemy@unca.edu.

The Career Center is open from 8am until 5pm Monday-Friday.  Feel free to stop by and take advantage of all of our services. We also have a tremendous amount of career information on our website at www.unca.edu/career
