Well-A-Bration is UNC Asheville’s recognition and celebration of the roles played by healthful living and wellness in the achievement of individual, campus and community well-being.
Walk with the Bulldogs—6:30-7:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 16, beginning at the Bulldog Statue. This extended walking tour of the UNC Asheville campus offers a chance to meet with Bulldog student-athletes and ask coaches questions.
An Evening with Shellie Pfohl – 6-7:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 16, Sherrill Center Mission Health Mountain View Room. Pfohl is executive director of the President's Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition and leads the Council's efforts related to First Lady Michelle Obama's national “Let's Move!” initiative to solve childhood obesity within a generation.
UNC Asheville Health Fair—11 a.m.-2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17, Kimmel Arena Concourse. The fourth annual student-run health fair will feature booths from more than 50 local health organizations, businesses and student-led groups. Free to the public with one non-perishable food donation encouraged. All donations will be made to MANNA FoodBank.
Lab Open Houses—12:30-1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17, Sherrill Center. Visit the Balance Lab, Biometrics Lab, Neuro-Biofeedback Lab and the Teaching Kitchen.
