Copies from the Bookstore It is each
faculty member's responsibility to obtain desk copies for courses.
These complimentary copies should be requested directly from the
publishers on a "Desk Copy Request" form provided by the Bookstore.
If your desk copy has not arrived from the publisher before your
class begins, you may "borrow" a copy from the Bookstore. This copy
must be replaced within 60 days and returned to the Bookstore
in new/original condition. We cannot accept books marked
"instructor's copy" or other markings which make the books
non-returnable. If the new replacement copy is not returned to the
Bookstore within 60 days, your department will be charged for the
book. We will work with you as much as
possible to help you get your desk copy in time. However, the
publishers prefer you to request desk copies directly and in
writing. The Bookstore should be considered the "last resort" for
providing desk copies.
