Dr. Parrish Waters , visiting lecturer,
Ph.D., University of South Dakota.
My scientific interests center around the neurochemical and
physiological mechanisms that control stress and emotionality, notably serotonin and dopamine. My research has primarily involved examining the genetic and somatic interactions of exercise with anxiety and stress coping ability in mammals, reptiles and fish. I received a BA (Biology) from UNCA in 1997, and a PhD (Biology: Neuroendocrinology) from the University of South Dakota in 2007.
