What classes can I take to satisfy my 3.0 credit ILS ARTS requirement?

With the ILS program changes over the last few years you may not be aware of the many choices you have in order to satisfy your ARTS requirement.

There are 4 ways in which you can satisfy your ILS ARTS requirement.

1. You can take three 1.0 credit Approved Applied ARTS Studio courses in such areas as Dance, Drama, and Music.  For the list click here.

2. You can take an ILSA course in a Topical Cluster and not only complete the cluster requirement, but also satisfy your ARTS requirement.  For the list click here.

3. You can take an ARTS 310 class.  These classes are now topical courses covering at least two different art forms while exploring exciting subjects in order to satisfy varying interests? For the list click here.

4. You can take an ILSA course that is aligned with each of the time periods covered in Humanities?  These courses are: ARTS 322, 323, or 324  To see what is available for Spring 08 click here and scroll down.

To learn more about these options, click here for the ILS ARTS Advising Guidelines.

If you have any questions after reading the guidelines, feel free to contact the Arts and Ideas Program Director, Laura Facciponti at lfaccipo@unca.edu or 232-2992 or in New Hall 113.
